Hello!
We are Like Digital

Our Work

About

Starting the company back in 2011 as something of an antidote to our corporate day jobs, Like Digital was a vehicle for more creative, exciting and inspiring projects. Before long, however, we had enough work to launch a full service agency.

With our deep rooted passion for both design and creative, as well as development and functionality, the concept for the company was clear from the start. We didn’t want to be overly process driven or bureaucratic…we wanted to do things differently. Establishing a more collaborative culture, one where clients are involved in the whole experience, was always our goal.

From small beginnings, steady growth has seen the company earn the trust of leading companies and powerful brands, resulting in a distinguished client portfolio, and industry-wide recognition for pioneering and high quality work. From websites, portals and apps through to ecommerce platforms and virtual reality, we work with a diverse range of clients, from large organisations to small start-ups.

Experience

The team’s experience now extends to media and entertainment companies (ITN, Academy Music Group, Live Nation), fashion and luxury e-commerce projects (Gieves and Hawkes, Mulberry), Food and Beverage firms (General Mills), Beauty brands (L’Occitane), Hospitality companies (Soho House), Arts organisations (Crystal Ballet), venerable historic institutions (Westminster Cathedral), huge public sector briefs (The NHS), as well as a variety of fast growing start-ups (Kita, Freedog).

Recently nominated for a Drapers Digital award for work with Gieves and Hawkes, Like Digital now also offers high level consultancy services at board level (for companies like TSB Bank), and is a certified agency for the British Fashion Council.

Meet the team

A team of enthusiastic creators and technology visionaries, we’re passionate about engaging and growing audiences by connecting businesses with the digital world.

We’re a small agency, but one with big agency experience. Applying our personal hands on approach, and a wide range of skills and expertise, to a broad variety of projects and sectors, we don’t just know digital… we actually like it too.

Richard Mogendorff

Managing Director

Professionally trained in musical theatre, Richard is no ordinary Tech City Director, beginning his extensive career as a creative technologist with a passion for music gadgets. Marrying his affinity to harmony and emotion with technical, digital know how, Richard earned his business credentials working with corporates and enterprise projects, gaining industry-leading experience in business process, e-commerce, logistics and online marketing. Working across the fashion, entertainment, music, and healthcare sectors (with Arcadia Group ,The Killers, Westminster Cathedral, NHS, Universal Music, Roland Corporation, Warner and Banksy to name a few), he’s nurtured and managed a host of sizeable projects from seed idea to the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder digital infrastructures.

Richard's Motto

Measure and learn drives just about everything he does in his working and personal life.

Karl Escritt

Creative Director

As a young dreamer, Karl always wanted to design record covers or make music videos, but found inspiration bringing graphics to life in early versions of Flash. This love of the nascent development of motion graphics was the seed for an accomplished career in digital design creative. As a Creative Director at global powerhouse agency SapientNitro, Karl led the £12 million Vodafone account, alongside work for Mclaren cars and Unilever. Subsequently, as Lead Digital Creative for Arcadia, Karl masterminded the launch design for the fashion retailer’s mobile and app stores, prior to departing and co-founding Like Digital, turning his talents to a host of new clients - Academy Music Group, Live Nation, Mulberry and Gieves & Hawkes.

Karl's Motto

Don’t just stick to what you’re good at. It may not be a motto, as such, but Karl holds it as a firm belief - design, trends and people change, most of all in the digital space so staying still and sticking solely to your areas of strength can do more damage than good.

David Bowles

Operations Director

The man who makes sure everything runs smoothly. Highly experienced in procurement and contracts management and working with global HR responsibility, David started his career in HR working 10 years for the Ministry of Defence and Aviation in the Middle East. He then made the move into investment banking, spending 18 years heading up human resources at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi. Eventually, though, he ran out of clean shirts and so made the transition to the more relaxed digital sector where he makes sure everyone always has plenty of cake.

David's Motto

Never be compromised by the inefficiency of others… and don’t eat yellow snow.

Mark Scrivener

Head of Delivery

Wisely decamping to London from Derbyshire just before the millennium, Mark managed to earn himself a degree in Product Design from Westminster University. Serving in various property, fashion and retail Project Manager roles paid the bills initially, but Mark’s dream was to be a product designer…so the digital world beckoned. Jobs leading front line e-commerce and customer support for Monsoon Accessorize, and a Digital Product Manager position at Chromasports followed. To date, Mark has managed over 250 digital projects with annual budgets up to £500,000, taking pride in seeing clients and projects take shape, evolve and grow.

Marks's Motto

Preparation and planning…and What have we missed?

Jo-Ann Meikle

Project Manager

Clearly a high achiever from the start, Jo-Ann departed The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen with a First in Fashion Management. After interning in the fashion world for a year, she decided to try her hand at some blogging for a while, but swiftly happened upon her first ‘proper’ job as Like Digital Studio Manager. After falling into a full time role in a digital technology company, it clearly agreed with her and before long, Jo-Ann was promoted to Project Manager in 2014.

Jo-Ann's Motto

(Puzzlingly) There’s Yer Tea! Said in a thick Fife accent when one of the dev team does something ridiculously good.

Callum Langston-Bolt

Content Editor

Something of a mystery man, Callum’s background takes in literature, fragrance, copywriting, PR and blogging. One thing we do know about is Callum’s highly specialised role, over 5 years, at Les Senteurs Perfumery working in PR, marketing and buying, which allowed him to write ‘ridiculous but regular articles on an international fragrance website’. A full time career in digital, happily, sort of fell into place, pretty much by accident. He loves working in a sector with so much excitement, great variety in the work, and such fun and creative people. He does have to say that though.

Callum's Motto

I can boogie, but I need a certain song.
